Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

30 DAY RETURNS
You may be entitled to a refund or exchange on faulty, damaged in transit or incorrectly received items. Please check your order upon receiving it and contact us within 30 days to arrange a return. Return shipping for faulty, damaged in transit or incorrectly received items is free of charge. 

To start a return, please contact us at info@haircareworks.com.au and provide us with proof of purchase and a description and photos or a short video of the problem. If your return is accepted, we will provide you with a return postage label and instructions to send the item back to us. Items need to be returned with all of it's parts, accessories, original packaging, tags and labels. Please note items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted and may be posted back to you. A postage charge of $9.95 will apply.

Once we’ve received and inspected your return, we’ll let you know if your refund or exchange request is approved or not. If approved, you can chose between a refund or an exchange. If you item is being refunded, your original payment method will be refunded. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. If your item is to be exchanged, we will send your new item with no postage charge. Please note if that the replacement item is out of stock, it will be sent to as soon as it’s back in stock.

Please note items on final sale cannot be refunded.

CHANGE OF MIND POLICY
Please choose your items carefully as we are not required to provide a refund or exchange if you change your mind.
If a change of mind request is approved:

  • Postage for returned and reposted items are the customer's expense. 
  • Postage charges incurred on orders are non-refundable. 
  • Items will need to be in unused, as new and resalable condition with all of it's parts, accessories, original packaging, tags and labels for a refund or exchange to be considered.
  • A restocking fee of $9.95 will be deducted from refunds or applied to exchanges.

UNCLAIMED, RETURNED & "RETURN TO SENDER" PARCELS
Please note that parcels returned to us due to an incorrect address being provided or not being claimed from a post office within Australia Post's designated timeframe (normally 2 weeks) will be subject to a restocking fee of $9.95 per parcel. 

Orders missing or lost in transit
Once we dispatch orders, Australia Post become responsible for their delivery. To avoid parcels being delivered to the wrong address or being stolen from or misplaced at your delivery address, our parcels require a signature on delivery. Parcels will go to a local post office for collection if you are not home. Australia Post hold parcels for two weeks only before returning unclaimed parcels to us.

If your order parcel is lost, missing or overdue, we can assist you and recommend you start a lost/missing item with Australia Post as soon as possible.

Electrical items with warranty periods
Electrical items such as hair dryers and straighteners have warranty periods. Please make sure you complete the product warranty as soon as you receive your item and return it as per manufacturer instructions. If your electrical item has a issue during it’s warranty period, please follow the return process above. Returned items need to be returned to the manufacturer / distributor for assessment. They will notify us if they will repair or replace the item or in some instances reject the warranty claim. This process can take several days but we’ll do our best to make it as quick as possible.

Exceptions / Non-returnable items 
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on gift cards.
